Hegra, a small friendly family hotel. A 17th century merchant house situated on one of the most beautiful canals. Details from this period are still to be found in the building. The herengracht (or Gentlemen's Canal) was originally dug in 1614 as a site for wealthy Amsterdammers to build their imposing houses in which they lived and conducted their business.
